Last week, speaking to The Columbus Dispatch, Mr. Romney declared that nobody in America dies because he or she is uninsured: “We don’t have people that become ill, who die in their apartment because they don’t have insurance.” This followed on an earlier remark by Mr. Romney — echoing an infamous statement by none other than George W. Bush — in which he insisted that emergency rooms provide essential health care to the uninsured.

I take politicians--especially presidential candidates--seriously. If you say you're going to abolish Obamacare, I figure that's what you're going to do. And that has consequences.
If you say you're going to turn Medicare into a "premium support" system, I figure that's what you're going to do.
And that means a lot of seniors are going to have to dig into their pockets--to the tune of $6400 a year--to pay for it. If you come back to me like Paul Ryan and say, "No, that's not true," then this is what I'll say to you:
"The whole point of your premium support system is to cut costs. The way you cut costs is a fixed amount of premium support that is linked to the inflation rate. And health care costs haven't stayed as low as the inflation rate for years. So when they go up, the people on Medicare pick up the difference.
So please explain to me how you're going to cut costs and prevent his from happening. And don't tell me how much money the insurance companies are going to save those elderly people when they're outside shopping for coverage on their own.
